Membership Eligibility

Who Can Join STCU?

Anyone Who is Associated in One of the Following Ways:

  1. You are an employee, student, or volunteer of a Select Employee Group (SEG) listed below.

  2. Membership extends to FAMILY members. This includes spouses, children, brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, adoptive relationships, and household members.

Why Join STCU?

  1. A credit union is unique in that it is an association of members who are owners working together for our mutual financial good!

  2. Volunteers from within us…serve us! Our board of directors is nominated and elected from within our general membership. Board committee members are elected at our annual meeting held once a year. Each person volunteers their time to represent our memberships’ best interests in all STCU decision-making. (It is all about the OWNERS!)

  3. Once a year, STCU holds an annual meeting. Owners receive reports on the financial state of the STCU and get to vote in the board elections.

  4. A credit union is classified as a “not-for-profit” tax-exempt organization. After we pay normal operating expenses and set aside funds for prudent reserves, STCU returns profits to members via *competitively higher savings and investment dividends.
    * lower rates on loans and fees – and improved services

This letter helps you close an account at another financial institution and have the funds sent to STCU for deposit in your account. Complete the form and mail it to the financial institution that you want to close.

Remember to leave ample time for pending checks and POS to clear your old accounts before closing them.

We recommend that you follow up with your former bank within a week to make sure everything was properly closed and follow up with us in 2 weeks to make sure your money was received.

Direct Deposit Form:

Complete and turn this form to HR or the Payroll Department to start direct deposit of your payroll check from any employer into one of your STCU accounts.

Military, government employees, or any person(s) receiving government-issued checks need to use Form 1199A for direct deposit. Please check in with us after your next payday to make sure that we have received your deposit.
